Who am I? With many restless nights, drifting off in thought about this question at work, the library, dinner, doing volunteer work, or going to class, I think I have an answer to this question now. I am a person that strives to be the best person I can be. I am a person who strives to love, respect, care about and understand people. I am a person who is sensitive to the needs of others and needs those same people that I am sensitive to. I am a person who is strong willed, goal oriented and stubborn. I am passionate and thoughtful. I try my best to accept my weaknesses and celebrate my strengths. I like to make other people happy and live for the moment that I can make someone else smile or their day a little better. I am a person that needs the strength and love from my family and friends. I am a person who recognizes the mistakes I make but has difficulty admitting these mistakes. I am a person who loves children. I am a person that does not know where I will be in the next five years but knows that I want to be happy with what I am doing in the next five years. I accept change and embrace new ideas with enthusiasm and excitement. I believe that I am a woman that has many wonderful things to offer many amazing people and make a real difference.

Going into the teaching profession I think that I will be able to offer a great many things. I think that my enthusiasm will be an attribute that will help to motivate my students and fellow colleagues. I am not afraid to ask questions and seek answers. I am a dedicated, hard working person and I think that will be something that will be recognized. I think that I will bring many new ideas to the profession and the eagerness to try these new ideas. I think I will bring many challenges to my profession and a willingness to work towards change and discovery.

With all of this being said I think that I will be a teacher who works with her students, parents and staff to make things the best that they can be. I will be a teacher who is confident and willing to make things better. I will be open-minded and celebrate and recognize the uniqueness that my students have. I will be loving and caring. I will not raise my voice or be hostile. I will not let my bad day affect the day my students will have. I will be a teacher who smiles and strives to reach every student on an individual basis. I will be a teacher who won’t quite, won’t give up. I will be a teacher who will make that light come on for all my students and give them something that they take with them all throughout their lives. I will be a teacher who understands that I am only one person who can do so much but that I will do it well and with as much love as one person can do it. I will be a fabulous teacher who know that at the end of the day I can go home and wake up to do it all over again.
